Governance for Sustainable Development

In a world where limited resources are increasingly stressed good water governance is more than ever crucial for sustainable development. Ecosystems are under threat, health risks appear as a consequence of decreasing water quality and climate changes add to the threats to the sustainability of the world's water resources and thus also to the livelihoods of the increasing populations.

DHI Water Policy, a member of the DHI Group, assists governments and institutions to address these problems through improved governance and Integrated Water Resources Management [IWRM].

The assistance is often rendered in a partnership arrangement and covers areas such as diagnostic water resources assessments and institutional analyses, policy dialogues and formulation, legislation and overall sector reforms.
