DHI User Group Meeting and training courses at Asian Institute of Technology

More than 100 participants from the Thai water sector including representatives from governmental agencies, regional and local water bodies, research institutions and universities, professional bodies and engineering companies, harbour and coastal authorities and urban water utilities attended the DHI Software User Group Meeting, held at AIT, Bangkok, on June 20.

Dr. Sutat Weesakul from AIT and Dr. Ananya Charoenpornnipat from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang presented applications in Thailand. While DHI staff presented the latest developments. The user group meeting was followed by an intensive day of training cover the marine, urban and water resources areas.

In general, the participants agreed that the UGM had been very relevant for their work and they recommended the establishment of regular UGMs.

Some specific comments from the seminar:

It is a very easy and efficient way of keeping ourselves updated about the new developments of the software".
