Vejle County, EIVA A/S and DHI in collaboration has received funding for a research project from Danish Agency for Trade and Industry.
The objective of the project is to assess the possibilities of using the well proven acoustic Doppler technology for horizontal mapping of the current in the navigation passage span under the Lillebælt bridge in Denmark. Other objectives are to establish an accurate correlation between the horizontal current profiles and the actual discharge in Lillebælt.
The quality of the horizontal data will be evaluated against traditional current profiling equipment.
